Sunday Riley 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum Review

As I  searched for a product that helped with hydrating and brightening with anti-aging benefits, one of the products I discovered is by Sunday Riley. I loved the fact that it is a serum so that I can use it with my moisturizer so I decided to give it a try. Sunday Riley 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum has an advanced vitamin C ingredient called tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate which is stable  oil-soluble form of  vitamin C.

What is Sunday Riley 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum?

It’s a serum for all skin types that absorbs quickly into the skin. The serum is infused with 15% THD ascorbate (also known as vitamin C). Vitamin C improves dullness, dark spots and skin discolorations, leaving the skin more luminous and radiant.

Key Ingredients

VITAMIN C: (THD Ascorbate/Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) Extremely stable, oil soluble form of Vitamin C. Helps fight the signs of aging caused by time, stress, lifestyle, and pollution, including dullness, visible loss of firmness, the signs of lines and wrinkles, and the appearance of dark spots and uneven redness.

PHYTOSTEROLS COMPLEX: Isolated from soybeans and containing at least 40% ß-sitosterol, these concentrated phytosterols help reduce the look of redness due to skin sensitivity.

SACCHARIDE ISOMERATE EXTRACT: Reduces the appearance of pores while reinforcing the skin’s moisture barrier for smooth, youthful texture.

GLYCOLIC ACID: An AHA, which refines skin texture and keeps the ph of the final product in the right zone for maximum effectiveness of the formula.

  1. This serum looks exactly like what I need to help reduce the signs of aging on my face and neck. I don’t know much about skin, I leave that up to the experts! But this combination in this serum sounds like what I have been looking for.

The fact that it absorbs quickly and has a pleasant smell are plusses!

Is 15% a typical amount of Vitamin C in serums such as this or is this a higher percentage than other brands?

The fact that it doesn’t contain parabens, sulfates and phthalates (which I can’t even pronounce, the least of which spell!) has got to be an added bonus for this product.

I am sure I will be trying it out very soon!

    1. Hi Karin! Thank you for your post and questions. Yes, 15% is a nice amount of vitamin C in a serum unless you get one prescribed with a higher amount. Serums with vitamin c can range from 2% to 15% as in Sunday Riley Brightening Serum.

I’d love your feedback when you try it.

I’m happy you found my review. Thank you so much for leaving a comment. Dark circles is a problem I have and I will admit that I have seen a difference. As a result, I use less concealer (yay).
